Maintenance of Diesel Engine

To extend the lifespan of diesel engines, it is crucial to maintain and fully utilize the air filter, lubricating oil filter, and fuel filter. Here are guidelines for their maintenance:

**Air Filter:**

- During installation, ensure no omission, reversal, or misplacement of seals and rubber connecting pipes, ensuring tight fitting.

- For paper-type dust-cup air filters, clean every 50-100 hours of operation by brushing off surface dust with a soft brush. Replace if the filter exceeds 500 hours of use or is damaged.

- For oil bath air filters, clean the filter element with clean diesel every 100-200 hours and replace lubricating oil. Immediately replace if the filter element is broken.

**Lubricating Oil Filter:**

- Failure to maintain the lubricating oil filter in a timely manner can lead to clogging of the filter element, increased oil pressure, and potential wear on lubricated surfaces, affecting engine longevity.

- Clean the filter every 180-200 hours of operation; replace immediately if damaged to prevent impurities from entering lubricated surfaces.

- During seasonal changes, clean the crankcase and all lubricated surfaces using a mixture of lubricating oil, kerosene, and diesel. After draining the oil, run the engine at low speed for 3-5 minutes before refilling with new lubricating oil.
